Terms of Service

1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TTR Journal at journal.thetechnicalroom.ca ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by The Technical Room ("TTR", "we", "us").

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use TTR Journal. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4 Permitted Use

TTR Journal is provided for personal trade journaling, analytics, and educational purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond the provided auto-sync EAs
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission

5 Trading Disclaimer

Risk management features (daily loss limits, drawdown alerts, prop-firm presets) are informational tools and may not reflect your broker's or prop firm's exact calculations. Always verify breach conditions directly with your firm.

6 Mentorship Feature

TTR Journal allows users to invite mentors who receive read-only access to selected trading data. By using this feature:

• Students consent to sharing trade data, analytics, and account summaries with their invited mentors
• Mentors agree to use shared data solely for mentorship purposes
• Either party may revoke the mentorship connection at any time
• TTR is not responsible for advice given by mentors through the platform

7 Auto-Sync & EA Usage

TTR Journal provides Expert Advisors (EAs) for MT4, MT5, and cTrader to automatically sync closed trades. By using auto-sync:

• You acknowledge the EAs are provided as-is and TTR is not liable for any EA malfunction
• You are responsible for ensuring EA usage complies with your broker's and prop firm's terms
• Sync tokens are per-connection and should be treated as sensitive credentials

8 Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding of TTR Journal are owned by The Technical Room. Your trade data remains your property. You grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service.

9 Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TTR and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to trading losses, data loss, or missed trading opportunities.

11 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

12 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
